VOICE FUNCTION 101: May 14th - July 9th

WHAT IS IT?

Voice Function 101 is our Level 1 teacher certification course focused on empowering teachers with the most up to date aspects of anatomy, function, and evidence-based studio practices via a contemporary lens.

"Mechanics of Mix & Belt"

is our Level 2 Teacher Certification course focused on helping teachers develop and refine a reliable system for teaching singers faced with the registration demands in the most popular styles of today.

 

WHEN IS IT?

VF101: May 14th - July 9th 

Application Calls: Tuesdays at 2:00pm ET

MMB: June 26th - July 17th

Application Calls: Wednesdays @ 2:00pm ET

 

WHO IS IT FOR?

Whether you’re a seasoned teacher looking to re-inspire your work, a passionate performer wanting to better understand how the voice actually works, or a classically influenced voice ped/performance graduate looking to diversify your training with cutting edge info, I got you!

 

HOW DOES IT WORK?

VF101: This program consists of eight modules across ten weeks. 

MMB: This program consists of 4 modules across 4 weeks designed to run concurently with VF101

Each week we'll be focusingon a different component of the vocal instrument (VF101) or registration development and training  (MMB).

The asynchronous lectures will cover all that crucial anatomy & function while the application callswill focus on a deep dive intostudent scenarios/solutions(basically allll the exercisesyou could ever want).

Each module includes three components.

1. An asynchronous pre-recorded lecture by yours truly, delivered to you at the beginning of the week.

2. An application call. This is were we come together in a live zoom meeting to go over student scenarios and solutions to help you with your student success rate in the studio.

3. A quiz! Yes. A quiz. Why? 

Because at the end of this course you will receive a Level 1 Certification in Evidence Based Voicework from Maddie Tarbox Vocal Studio and the quiz acts as an evaluation tool for your success in each of these modules.

WHAT ARE THE MODULES:

VF101:

• Module 1: Inhalation.
• Module 2: Exhalation.
• Module 3: Phonation.
• Module 4: Resonance
• Module 5: Articulation.
• Module 6: Alignment.
• Module 7: Motor Learning.
• Module 8: Putting it together.

MMB:

• Module 1: Coordination and Stabilization
• Module 2: Strenght and Stamina
• Module 3: Flexibility/Agility
• Module 4: Finesse and Artistry

 

WHAT IF I CAN'T MAKE THE APPLICATION CALLS?

Not to worry! Every week the application call is emailed to you so you can stay up on all the goods even if your schedule has other plans. 

You will be a different teacher at the end of this program, I can guarantee you that.

ONLINE SESSIONS:

When you (FABULOUS ROCK STAR OF A CLIENT) and I (Maddie Tarbox) meet online for our sessions with the rest of the cohort, by agreeing to these Terms & Conditions, you acknowledge that ELECTRONIC WEIRDNESS MAY OCCUR, that some of the session may be interrupted by FIGURING OUT TECHNOLOGY, and that you are cool with that and understand that WE GET TO MEET EVEN THOUGH WE LIVE A MILLION KILOMETERS AWAY FROM EACH OTHER IN REAL LIFE so if there are a few interruptions or delays, we're still cool.

SESSION RECORDINGS

You (FABULOUS ROCK STAR OF A CLIENT, YOU)  acknowledge that Ped-Head Primers will be recorded and stored on the private log-in area of the website and that ALL CONTENT of every session is my (Maddie Tarbox's) intellectual property and, as such, may not be distributed or released for public viewing on any platform without my express written permission. You also #pinkyswear not to do this to yourself because: WHY WOULD YOU? WHHHYYYY??!

PRIVATE LOGIN:

You (FABULOUS ROCK STAR OF A CLIENT, YOU) understand that your log-in access is for you AND YOU ALONE. By agreeing to the terms and conditions you agree to not share your log-in information with anyone (also we will know so... JUST DON’T DO IT K?). If we find that you have shared your log-in information your access will be immediately revoked with no refund.
